Dutch Bros Coffee’s donation day gives ‘luv’ back to Maverick Pantry
Dutch Bros Coffee loves every Valentine’s Day, and they show that by donating a partiality of their money to a local charity that day. In appreciation for what it has done for them at UT, this year they are giving back to UTA’s Maverick Pantry.
Dutch Bros operator Allie Toney says Dutch Luv Day is a day of giving back and leaving a positive impact in the community. The Maverick Pantry receives $1 per drink sold from the coffee shops at South Cooper and Park Row on the giveback day.

Dutch Bros operator Allie Toney explained how Dutch Luv Day is an occasion to celebrate giving back and making a difference in the community. The Maverick Pantry receives $1 per drink sold from the coffee shops at South Cooper and Park Row on the giveback day.

For its annual Dutch Luv giveback day, which will take place Feb. 14, Dutch Bros Coffee will donate to UTA’s Maverick Pantry $1 from each drink sold. Features of Maverick Pantry include providing a variety of essential items and a cap and gown rental service, according to their website, which serves all Mavericks.
“This was a very exciting first time we’ve worked with Dutch Bros.” ‘‘It was like, ‘Oh my god,’” Bassett said, explains the reason she loves Valentine’s Day. “Really fun partnership together.”
Food, groceries, hygiene items and feminine products are among the items they will be donating to from the Dutch Bros.
Essential products not always available from its main supplier, the Tarrant area food bank, include rice or hygiene products, Bassett said. And that’s why the donations go for. “All we do is supply additional to what is offered.”
A big part of Dutch Bros Coffee’s identity is about giving back to the community and making an impression wherever they can, from the Dutch Luv Day to serving customers every day, Toney said.
“That one is so close to home for us that it’s been really exciting to be able to work with that nonprofit.” I’m hoping that the customers and the students on campus are really excited for this giveback day, she said, adding that our crew is really excited.
